The Desert Experience is an unforgetable dive into the Colorado Desert of Creosote bush and Drywash microphyll woodlands in the Maniobra Valley, Chiriaco Summit, CA. People say it is super fun, thrilling, and enlightening! Ecological adventures in Chuckwalla National Monument are a way to get away from the fast pace, see what natural desert life looks like, and explore tortured geologic formations along the eastern edge of the San Andreas Fault.
We tread lightly on our journey, traveling 10-25 mph through established roads and approved trails stopping throughout the Maniobra Valley to observe Creosote bush forests, Drywash Microphyll Woodlands ecosystems, and fascinating geological formations. And hopefully a Hare and a Tortoise, among so many other animal friends and foes.
A special gift is the San Andreas Fault tectonics that have uplifted and exposed marine sediments and conglomerate of the Maniobra Formation, the sandstone, siltstone, conglomerate, basalt and volcanic flows of the Diligencia Formation, the Orocopia Schist Detachment Fault, and 1.3 billion year old Gneiss metamorphic rocks. Step back in geologic time.

Exciting rides! ....but, This is not a rip it up adrenaline experience. Each tour is super fun and offroad worthy, tailored to your group, however, we cruise moderately between 10 and 25 mph on established and approved roads and trails. We engage fragile desert ecosystems to observe and experience connecting with the land, the animals, the plants and each other, with a purpose of peace and preservation of Mother Earth. Our transportation is Yamaha Viking 6 seater.

Cancellation Policy:
Desert Stewards will refund the balance of your reservation prior to 72 hours, if requested. Within 72 hours the reservation is non-refundable. However, we do take into consideration emergencies, natural disasters, or other extreme situation on a case by case basis. We will work with you to move the reservation, or refund some or all of the reservation based on time of year and demand.

Reservation Policy: Reservations are required.
Desert Stewards (ATV Experience, Inc.) will charge your credit card for the balance of the tour reservation when the reservation is made by phone or online. You can cancel 72 hours prior to your event date if necessary. ​
Drugs and Alchohol:
We at Desert Stewards understand you are probably on vacation, enjoying some needed time off, We ask that you refrain from substance prior to the engagement to capture the essence of the connection to the land without any alteration to your energy. Thank you!! Safety first.

Reservation/Booking Fee: 5% Credit Card transaction bookin convenience fee. We do not charge tax, as this is a service.
Pricing includes: Helmets, Gloves, Goggles, Bandana, and water. Gratuity is NOT included.

3. Long sleeves, long pants or leggings, unless you want sunshine or its just too hot for that business.
4. Water Bottle, we have some water too if you don't bring one.
5. Layers in winter months as it gets chilly!
